CHEVY OLYMPICS ‘WE CARRY THEM’
Chris Milk is an amazing director. It’s not just that he shoots beautiful film. Or understands humanity so well. Or has an eye for the intimate, perfect, unusual detail. Or has incredible taste in music and art and editing and photography. It’s that he does all of that at the same time and is also a freaking kick to work with. Anyway we were fortunate to work with Chris on an enormous, complicated, Chevy shoot during the Olympics. Went to LA during a monsoon. Went to Mammoth during two blizzards and three white outs. Came out with gorgeous film, Catherine Keener’s perfect voiceover and a bunch of great spots featuring real child athletes, not actors, not a one. These are director’s cuts and never ran. A crying shame.
